Just a Little History…

The 175 acre property has been in the Betts family for 6 generations and has most recently been a dairy farm for decades. The main barn was built around 1775. There have been many additions and changes since then. Katie and John Mosora moved back to the farm in 2020 and made the decision to use a portion of the barn for the dog kennels in 2022. Construction began in August 2022 and Pymatuning Paws officially opened in March 2023. 

Katie’s love for animals stemmed from a very early age while growing up on her family’s dairy farm. Countless years of Holstein cows & steers, cats, turtles, chickens, ducks, horses and dogs helped influence her love for pets. 

Katie and John currently have 5 furry family members;

Millie- German Shepherd

Piper- Husky/ Border Collie mix

Shaemus-  Pug mix

Max- German Shepherd

Gus- Hound mix

This made it an easy decision to open a dog boarding and daycare facility that focused on keeping dogs out of their kennels, outside and interacting with other dogs as much as possible.
